I'm Brandon, the founder and driving force behind No Dreams Deferred. With a background deeply rooted in education, community development, and a passion for driving positive change, I have dedicated my life to making dreams a reality. Here are some things you should know about me:

• My professional journey began in early childhood education but I have had the opportunity to work with learners of all ages throughout my career. These experiences have profoundly shaped my understanding of human development and the importance of building meaningful and productive relationships with those we intend to serve.

• My commitment to advocacy has spanned multiple states – in New York, where I fought for equal rights for farmworkers and in Connecticut where I embarked on the challenge of advocating for equitable school funding. In each instance, together with incredibly diverse coalitions, we bridged the gap between traditional political adversaries and paved the way for historic policies.

• My upbringing in diverse communities (Pasadena, CA, and Randolph, MA), has provided the foundation of my work around diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility and provided me with tangible skills for communicating and building bridges across cultures and differences. These experiences have fueled my curiosity about people and optimism for the future of our country.

• My life and professional journey have been consistently enriched by my love for sports and music. I understand that these opportunities are often the first cuts in under-resourced communities and I am committed to working with those who want to change that.

• As a father of three, my role as a parent is at the heart of my approach to education and community engagement. I believe every child deserves the opportunities my own children enjoy, and I look forward to partnering with individuals and organizations that share my belief.

• The name "No Dreams Deferred" is a nod to the Harlem Renaissance, a period of American history that has always inspired me. It also reflects my personal mission to help others fully access the American Dream.
